Composite wood blinds - a stylish alternative to natural wood

Composite wood blinds are fast becoming a replacement for real wood blinds because they are more stable and less prone to the effects of temperature and humidity. Composite wood blinds are manufactured of hardwood pulp blended with vinyl (PVC: polyvinyl chloride) or other resins to produce the look of natural wood with some of the durability of vinyl blinds. Composite wood blinds are made from mostly recycled material, making them an environmentally smart option. They are available in both solid colors and wood tones for customization with your décor.

Varieties and optional upgrades

Composite wood blinds are available in 2” or 2 ½” slats in either flat or beveled styles. You can enhance the appearance and function of your composite wood blinds with various upgrades, including:

  • Decorative cloth tapes. Hide rout holes and cords to your composite wood blinds while adding a touch of color. Decorative tapes come in a variety of sizes: ¾” for smaller wood blinds and minimal view obstruction, and 1 and 1 ½” tapes for wider wood blinds and a bigger splash of color.
